Valid Electric was selected to perform an extensive renovation at Fair Oaks Mall. Originally built in the early 1980s, this mall needed a renovation to freshen up the shopping experience for its expansive public. The renovation of the 1,700,000 square-foot Mall included new cove lighting throughout public spaces as well as retrofitting aging Metal Halide skylight fixtures with a new LED retrofit light fixture. Exterior site work and site lighting was included at all five exterior mall entrances. Construction was conducted at night to avoid any disruption to the mall tenants and shoppers. This required continual attention to cleanup so that there was no trace of the extensive renovation that was occurring. Valid Electric’s involvement early on with preconstruction assistance and a strong commitment to the GC ensured a smooth electrical installation.

Valid Electric’s multiphase renovation at the Leesburg Premium Outlets included extensive site renovations for exterior walkways and five site entrances. As each exterior entrance had to remain open for public use during construction, multiple concurrent phases were required. Exterior renovations included site walkway pole lighting, building lighting, tree up-lighting, and exterior kiosk power and data conduit provisions. Interior alterations included complete lighting and power renovations to the existing food court and public bathrooms.
